I decided to, once again, post up some of the images backing up on my desktop (well, in my image grab folder). Because when I like a something I always drag and drop.

To start... for anyone who has a birthday this month:

(photo by Ninagawa Mika. If you make an account on her website you can get a wallpaper download every month and a birthday image from her. Japanese site only though.)

the rest.. )
the rest.. )

Hopefully this will carry over to real life and I'll clean up my whole apartment soon. Like today.

make the night go on and on...

This is the only photo I took.
All I really have to say is that she sounds so much better live.
(not that she sounds bad recorded, but still)

I can't believe it's still January.
Then again, I can't believe it's almost February.
It's been really crazy. But in a good way.

Graphite Saral smells like a book I used to love when I was little. It smells EXACTLY like the book did.

I don't remember the title of the book, just that it had kittens (and I think a food? like a chocolate bar or something) and the whole thing was grey (pencil), seafoam green, and coral pink on aged yellow paper.

I had a dream about jetpacks and root beer and when I woke up I had to go buy some (root beer, that is. I already have the jetpacks).

2010 feels good.
January is great.

A Rapture by Studio Alchemy feat. Melissa R. Kaplan
I like Yu Tsai's photography, so this was interesting (though I don't have much of an opinion on Lindsay Lohan).
I dig the song though.

and something pretty gorgeous.

One of my goals this year is to read 25 books. Which isn't a whole lot, but probably more than I would read otherwise (I may be over optimistic). The list is likely to change, but so I remember...

The Book List
  1. The Martian Chronicles by Ray Bradbury
  2. First Meetings by Orson Scott Card
  3. Fear of Small Numbers by Arjun Appadurai
  4. Lolita by Vladimir Nabokov
  5. The Butcher Boy by Patrick McCabe
  6. Pieces of You by Tablo
  7. Good Omens by Neil Gaiman & Terry Pratchett (tablo, it sounds awesome~)
  8. In the Penny Arcade by Steven Millhauser
  9. Blindness by Jose Saramago
  10. Everything is Illuminated by Jonathan Safran Foer
  11. The Old Man and The Sea by Ernest Hemingway
  12. The Tipping Point: How Little Things Can Make a Big Difference by Malcolm Gladwell
  13. Tekkonkinkreet by Matsumoto Taiyo (manga)
  14. Breakfast at Tiffany's by Truman Capote
  15. Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close by Jonathan Safran Foer
  16. Rain Fall by Barry Eisler
  17. What is the What by Dave Eggers
  18. The Martian Child by David Gerrold
  19. Eating Animals by Jonathan Safran Foer
  20. The Wild Things by Dave Eggers
  21. A Clockwork Orange by Anthony Burgess
  22. Animal Farm by George Orwell
  23. Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep? by Philip K. Dick
  24. Other Colors by Orhan Pamuk
  25. Forbidden Colors by Mishima Yukio (or maybe Confessions of a Mask)
current
finished
I think I'm a pretty ADHD reader. T-T
There is a lot of japanese, gothic, and sci-fi on there because they tend to be my favorite (ok, I suck and stick to what I like a lot). Especially Orson Scott Card; The Ender's Game/Shadow series are my favorites.
If anyone has any suggestions I'd like to hear them (:

jpop and..

I've been pulled back into jpop (and really, not random stuff. actually poppy jpop). And not just Arashi. (!!!)
and as a sidenote... going shopping around Christmas sucks. I sort of hate how you just can't get away from Christmas music anywhere.

so... these:
  • w-inds. 'New World' single
  • Superfly 'Box Emotions' album
  • EXILE 'ふたつの唇'
  • BoA 'The End そして and...'
  • Yamapi 'Loveless'
  • ICONIQ x EXILE ATSUSHI 'i'm lovin' you'
(anyone have any other awesome jpop...or anything else, really... recommendations?)

So right after my itunes library was accidentally deleted I downloaded (because I'm an asshole...) w-inds.' New World single and I'm thoroughly happy with it. :D I've liked them since they debuted and was about to lose it after their last single D:
I like all the songs on it, especially Fighting for Love/Tribute. I mean.. .they did a Michael Jackson tribute~~ The lyrics make me laugh a lot <3 So good after that G-Dragon collaboration disaster. Though the New World video is sort of nuts in a Tokyo Drift way that I'm not really sure about. hahaha

aaaaaaand....
I like ICONIQ x EXILE ATSUSHI's 'i'm lovin' you'.
Atsushi kinda owns the track, but how can you go wrong if you can really rock a shaved head?

Awesome right?
(wakiwaki this reminded me of you. Plus one of my friends just partially shaved her head and it looks great~)
